tapai.

Assalamualaykum.

I promised K Ruby to post a picture of tapais I bought for open house that day.
I know this is wa--------------------y belated.
But I wanna show it anyway.
Especially to those that don't know how traditional tapais look like.
Wrapped in rubber leaves.

Aaaaahhh~
I feel like eating tapai now.
And FYI, the best way to enjoy the tapais is to put them in the refrigerator and then eat them cold.
Yummmmmmmmmmmmy!!

Wassalam.

P/S: Actually I couldn't find a topic to write,.. hence the tapais. He he he.

2 sen.

Assalamualaykum.

First of all,let me confess.
I'm not a Pitt fan.
Or a Pitt-Jolie fan, for that matter.
But I like this picture.

Why do I like this picture, you asked?
Because that's Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie for Heaven's sake.
And they're riding on a bike similar to what those Mat Rempits are doing their stupid stunts with.
No, I won't go on and nag about the Rempits now.
Truth be told, when I first saw the picture in our local newspaper yesterday it touched my heart.
It showed me the simple side of the multimillionaire actors.
The humbleness, their modesty.
(Yeah, maybe the bodyguards were tailing them, but heck! That's not the point.]

After 'admiring' the photo, I laughed.
Why? [No, I'm not insane. I'll get to my point later.]

I was comparing our local entertainment artists [singers and actors] with the Hollywood ones.
Don't you think we're becoming more and more like them?
When I said 'we',I was referring to our Malaysian artists.
Just look at how the female ones dressed nowadays.
I bet you can't find one that would wear a 'selipar Jepun' in public like Jolie did. He he he.
In some occasions, when there were local and international artists in them, our Malaysian artists outdid the international ones in terms of bearing more skin rather than covering them.
[I actually saw one in a newspaper, but couldn't find it in the net for me to share with you.Even if I did, I'd smudge the face so that none can tell who was it.LOL]
Sigh~

The recent happenings were even more dissappointing pour moi.
Some of the artists had the most glamorous so-called wedding of the year and the next thing you hear, the couple is already filing a divorce.
What a waste of money. Bet the orphans could use it for a better cause.
In my humble opinion, this isn't a healthy thing to do.
Then again, we don't really know what happen in their relationship so we can't comment much, can we?

The world is changing.
And Malaysia is globalized faster and faster.
I'm not saying that the artists are all BAD EXAMPLES [to our youth especially].
I do look up to some that have done really well in their career.
But even if the world is changing, we must not forget our roots, right?

I'm being bias, I know.
Just my 2 sen worth of opinion-lah.
No hard feelings, everyone..

Pitt is gorgeous, isn't he?
But not as handsome as my Redford [yet].

Wassalam.

Aaaaaaahhh~

Assalamualaykum.

Did I ever mention I love ROBERT REDFORT so much??
For a man his age, I think he's HOT.
You don't think so??
Think again.

Aaaaaaahhh~

Apart from his good looks [albeit the fact that he goes for "nip/tuck" occassionally], he's one of my favourite actor of all time.
I would cry every time I watch him and Michelle Pfeiffer in "Up Close & Personal".
Reason being, he died in that movie.
I usually hate sad ending movies, but I made exception for this piece.
And just tonight, I managed to see him in "Indecent Proposal", with Demi Moore.
Again he made me cry.
No, he didn't die in this one in case you are wondering.
I cried because he was being a true gentleman, letting Demi go for another guy [who she was more in love with, and happened to be her husband.]
I know it sounds stupid, but I won't bore you with the whole storyline.
He's my man. Period.

When can I meet MY Robert Redfort?
He he he.

Wassalam~

(Feel like vomitting?? Yes, you may do so now. LOL)

When was the last time you received a mail, may I ask?
Handwritten, from your loved ones, friends or family?
Letters telling you about their lives..
Or a card wishing you happiness on your birthday or congratulating you for your graduation..
With their signatures at the bottom of the page etc.
Or better still, when was the last time YOU WROTE someone a letter?
And the last time you send someone a card?
Find your way to a post office to post it?
Can't recall any of those?

Sounds ridiculous, ain't it?
Why the hassle when everything is just a mere click away?
We have emails now, so why bother writing on a piece of paper?
Then after we have finished writing, to complete the process, we have to look for an envelope, stamps etc.
And do we still have to go to a Hallmark store and pick a card when it has a website where we can send free ecards to friends and family in no time.
SMS?? MMS?? Those are even easier.

But I love getting "real" mails / cards.
Don't we all?
The feeling is different, slightly.
Because for me, when someone writes a letter/card, [and then to have it sent via the postal service etc], it shows effort.
Such effort does have an effect to me.
The letters are more personal, exclusive..

I'm not denying the importance of the advancement in technology that we have now.
On the contrary, I am grateful for it.
Just that it slowly reduced the need to take a piece of paper, writing on it and get it posted.

What am I getting at actually?
Nothing.
I was reading this in zzeed's blog and it triggered me to write.
That's all.

So I guess, this is one of the changes we have to accept.

Wassalam~

[Phewwww~ Finally managed to put my fingers running on the keyboard and post something for y'all to read. The last few weeks of school days were hectic. And yes, people. School break has started! I'm enjoying every minute of it~]

Budak koma 4 hari dirempuh motosikal

“Ain mula menggerakkan kakinya sedikit, malam semalam.
