Subhanallah

Assalamualaykum.
What a sad,sad way to start my day.
Today, I had to start off my new day with a shocking discovery.
(At least to me it IS shocking.)
I was browsing through friendster and found this picture which I'm going to share with you guys.

I have edited the above picture.
Enough said it is somebody I know.
Not a friend, but I know her from my school days.
She is undoubtful a Malay and MUSLIM.

What really annoyed me is that she had the NERVE to actually post a picture like that publicly.
Holding a bottle of alcohol and looked proud of being able to do that.
Even if she didn't take the alcohol, *(which I find to be quite doubtful), what's she trying to prove by doing such act?
Allah forbids us to consume alcohol.
Period.

Sorry readers, but I don't find this as a sensitive issue.
Not even a little bit.
Because when it comes to Islam law, things are absolute, non-negotiable.
I know I'm not the best person to talk about this, because I too am not a perfect Muslimah.
But who is? Rather than our Rasulullah (pbuh).
Even more when it is the issue of consuming alcohol we are talking about.
Man, it doesn't take a genius to tell you that alcohol is prohibited in Islam.
If you ask my 7-year old students, they will definitely tell you that "ARAK TU HARAM!!!"
So why is a person with a brain (bigger and fuller than mine and my lil' students), can't even differ which is correct or wrong.

I don't know what else to say.
Readers please excuse my tone in today's entry.
This is so distressful pour moi.
Hopefully Daehanminguk team will bring joy to me tonight with a winning game against France.
InsyaAllah.
In a nutshell, DON'T DRINK (alcohol).

Wassalam.

*in another picture she regarded herself and a friend as drunkens.

  3. my assumptions are that;
1)the girl has just started drinking, so still poyo bout showing it off
2)shes drinks. ocassionally took some pictures for her own amusement, doesnt care wut others think

i have a mixed feeling bout this whole issue. inevitably it's wrong, no question. but wouldn't it be more wrong doing it but not admitting to it..?!
im not making much sense am i?

uhm. its just that more&more ppl are afraid of being themselves, in this community where those they(the community) labelled as 'not-normal', are being sneered at and condemned like nobody's business. when lesbian, gays, drinking, sex, abortion, gambling etc etc, becoming those matter to u, u would be beyond shocked and the least u could do is help them and keep reminding them (and urself) that it's wrong. and just be there for them, and pray for their happiness.. the last thing they need is to be judged.

like this girl, at least now u know,u can actually help her. if u want to.. then ppl wont have to feign affections and actions, which btw, can be a good thing or a bad thing

juz my opinion.. nauzubilah kepada kita semua

am not a perfect servant too,but the least we can do is pray and hope that we won't be doing the same thing. insyaAllah.

    nana:
what you think does make sense,my dear.it's even more wrong if u don't admit ur mistake. i do apologize if you think i was being judgmental, maybe i was. but it's more like a disapsointment la to my part, knowing that our sister turned out to be like that. my post may seem like a personal attack towards the girl, but i was trying to make a point there. to share my frustration towards the act.
insyaAllah i'll try to talk to her. hopefully she'll understand. thanks for sharing your thoughts, nana. i really appreciate it.

  5. thanx fizzy,

it's a reminder to her to show that we care and even more so a reminder to everyone and myself who is in every way always forget that we're the wrongdoers.

  7. tula, i understand ur frustration, coz when u do feel disappointed, it is because u care, kan? we ignore when we couldnt-care-less.
but sometimes u know too much & theres really nuthing u can do about it but pray..

we really need to talk babe. haha. lame gell x 'calling2'. nak jumpe apetah lagi!!

  8. i just don't geddit..
with a beer in your hand, you feel more confident? more western? more cool than those yg tak??
but as i usually tell others, you're a big girl, up to you nak pilih jalan mana, but pls don't go over the limit..when you crossed the line, kita yg memerhati gotta put our feet down and menegur..right??
    sigh~
