highlights

I almost forgot how great it is just to be with friends.
Hanging out together, chatting about stuff that doesn't really matter to the world [read: gossip!]
It was a bliss last school break though, as I got the chance to do those stuff.
Since I've been working [4th year now], I don't think I get to 'enjoy' much.
Except during weekends with Shambie [when she leaves her beloved Terengganu] and Aboon [when she's on leave from work/study].
Other than that, internet is my sole source of entertainment and joy.
Oh, and my niece and nephews that I had to babysit.

I'm glad I decided to meet up and catch up with those closest to me while I was in KL last week.
These are the highlights of my [as Mache and everybody like to put it] rather SHORT visit..;

  • house warming @ fqrl's. I got to meet [finally!!] an old friend with a totally new 'image'. Yeah, he got me stunned and out of words. It was definitely a great rendezvous even though I was being picked on [and 'betrayed'] most of the time. Oh, did I mention we were 2 hours late to the house warming? All thanks to Pak Lah's announcement on oil price hike earlier that day.
  • 'lepak' @living room with Shaxu while waiting for Idya [before going to fqrl's crib]. I still can't forget the yummylicious popiah basah Shaxu brought me and the fact that we were watching RTM at that moment. LOL. Oh, we were busy gossiping anyways. :D
  • adhoc lunch date with Asni + Adrin. A short meet-up slash catch-up session, but it was worth it. It felt like yearssssss since I last saw Asni.
  • a VERY short date with Nanakuhhhh.. too bad I had to rush home that day. But @least I was able to get myself an MNG purse on her advice, sadly we didn't have time to shop for shoes..huuhuhuhuhu..
  • I got to meet 2 bloggers. Kak pB and ninadewe [from Indonesia]. Had breakfast with kak pB, but only spent a few minutes with Nina..both of us had prior plans.
  • lastly, the NEVERENDING phone calls to Idya.. mostly [if not ALL] asking for directions. FYI, I got lost multiple times, and yeah it took me 'hours' to get to a place that shoud have taken only a few minutes according to Idya.. :P Oh, yes. I got HONKED dozens of times too.

All in all, I had a splendid time even though it was limited.
I apologize to those who weren't informed that I was coming.
As I said, it's work related [even though I didn't mention anything about it], and to find time to actually meet those mention above, amazed yours truly as well.
I ended up with a back ache anyway..I guess I really pushed myself that last day.
Hehehehehehehehehehe.

Okay, Mache and Fqrl.. I get your point.
I think I should do this more often. :p

It was from Ms Istanbul.. a clip of Dr Alex Karev..
Hehehehehehe.. you make my day-lah, sis!!
Thanks a lot!!! :D

2sen~

Assalamualaykum.

Funny.

How come..
'seeing' somebody you know for quite a long time..
makes you feel disgusted?

Hysterical.

Why..
do some people change..
and be like everybody else in order to be 'accepted'?

Peculiar.

Sometimes it's hard not to notice when things have changed..
not for the better, but vice-versa.

--> What am I babbling about? Sigh~ ..just letting out my 'uneasiness' over things that have changed around me..that's all.. ;|

Help!

Assalamualaykum..
During my lunch break yesterday [at the course], I checked my email and was a bit shocked to read a forwarded message from my TKC OGA.The message entitled "A brother is lost" caught my eyes and I went on reading it.
One of our OGs brother was missing since the mid of July and the family was dissappointed as the police had done almost nothing to find him.

He is 26 and mentally disabled, but that doesn't mean anyone should take this missing case very lightly.
According to Kak Leng (tkc8993) [who forwarded the message from the sister], the police even said that since the missing person is already 26, they did not prioritize the case.
Dang! Anyways, there was an article that came out in The Star last Friday.
You can read it here.

And this is the email from his sister Kak Mie (tkc8993) forwarded by Kak Leng:

Salam,
Hi all.
I know this is about to become like me airing my dirty laundry for the world to know, but I feel so desperate.I need to tell this to you girls. My brother Salhi has been ill with a psychiatric illness.Schizophrenia to be precise. He is 26 and he started having mental disturbance at 17 when he was in MCKK lagi.He was the genious of the family, the badut of the family and the best little brother anyone could ever wish for.
Past 10 years saw him deteriorating and my heart sgt sgt sebak when this time, I went to the hospital in KB to find him locked up in a cage, together with people I would not even look at, bcos they scare me. He had extra muscular twitches and gaunt facial expression. Memang tak nampak mcm my used to be little brother anymore. In between bites of coney dog ( dia suka A&W) he managed to tell me 'Nak sekolah balik Kak Mie please '. Repeatedly. I just held back tears.
We took him out, and he was stable during my wedding. Masa reception I kept him occupied with a camera so people don't feel obliged to make a petty talk with a 'weird' looking man. Everything was fine. On Friday the 13th, he left home saying he wanted to go for a walk. RM 3.50 in his pocket. He never came back. Duit tak ada, IC tak ada. We looked for him everywhere, satu Kelantan. No news.
He hasn't taken his medications for 2 weeks now, I tak tahulah how he is now.Mungkin kalau you all jalan2 kat KL nampak budak gila (I have to accept this now) talking to himself, kotor, kurus tak terurus, kejap cakap english kejap cakap kelantan, that's him. Let me know. What I fear is that he got hit by a lorry ke, in a ditch somewhere waiting to be found. I am writing almost with tears all the time. Partly because I am frustrated there wasn't much time for me in Malaysia, to do anything. Police report has been filed and my other brother has written in the Star.
Now this waiting game is making me very apprehensive.Usually he'll find means to go back to Kuala Kangsar. 2 kali he was found in MCKK in the past. His memory seemed to have stopped at that point in hislife. Allah sahajalah yang tahu why he is tested this far. To him he is still 17.
Doakan so he's looked after by people yang he come across, who would find sympathy in them to give him food and a place to shut his eyes. Insy. Amiin. And I am sorry if anybody finds this upsetting.

Love, Najmiah

Dr. Najmiah K Ahmad
Clinical Fellow in Anaesthetics
York District General.

Second message:

I go through a cycle of optimism and pessimism. Looking at how he was found last time after 4 days missing , by the roadside, cengkung and dishevelled, makan tak minum tak tidur tak, I just hope he's still alive. On the cause of his illness, I am not the best to outline the cause, but what i know is always complained about being bullied in MCKK. To what extent we didn't know because at the time it's our fault we thought he was'just saying it'.So nobody paid attention to his complaints.
After getting some prize money for his 8As PMR from a Japanese Minister he ran away from school but not to home, but to KL. When we found him he said he couldn't stand school. Nak balik rumah takut my dad marah. My dad took him out of school and he went to a school in Kelantan. Towards his SPM he was getting worse but managed 2A1 - Physics and Add Maths.
Already on tablet he joined the flying school, he was always fascinated by airplanes, always wanted to be a pilot. Half a year he was there (Kedah I think) they found his tablets and he was expelled. He took a turn for the worse. When he got slightly better I got him enrolled in a private college. He received a best student award when he was on this medication tradename Domatil. Somehow the tablet was stopped ( pricey I think) and he was on Risperidone ( for those medics who are interested) , he is never stable since and he couldn't sit his exams.
To what extent was he bullied? Was it very bad that he couldn't tell anyone? Sexually? Or was he already 'crazy' so people bullied him? Chicken ke egg ke. I reserve my comments for now on boarding schools.
May he returns safe.
Amiin.

Wallahualam.. I do hope somebody can offer some help. And if there's any MCKK OBs reading this, I also hope that you can spread this news.He was an Old Boy regardless he was only there until form 3.
Wassalam~

Each night of his charms

So if you’re looking
To find love that you can share
All you gotta do is
Hold him and kiss him and love him
And show him that you care

Show him that you care just for him
Do the things that he likes to do
Wear your hair just for him
Cause you won’t get him
Thinking and praying,

Assalamualaykum..

Was just enjoying the pictures in Asni's blog when this song came into mind.
So happen, Idya posted the same song [minus the audio, just the lyric] in her blog not so long ago.
I guess this song is one of tkc9600 all-time favourite songs.
Not only the melody is good, the lyric is somewhat so catchy. :)
Talk about unrequited love.. Sigh~

And a few days back I was on the phone with Mlle. Shaxu.
She was really surprised actually to know that I still have feelings for him. LOL.
Dear,I didn't tell you all this while because you guys have been really close.
And another fact is that I know it's never gonna happen anyway.
I'm not hoping.. at least not anymore~

Hence, this song is just to ease my mood.
Am feeling rather 'romantic' upon seeing Asni+Asib's pictures in Langkawi. :D
[this song is dedicated to both of you.. so when's the baby coming?? hahahaha.. I can't wait!]

I hope it ends here. And by 'it' I meant the longing for him.
Scold me or whatever you want, but being me, I just can't find the courage to walk up to him and say I like him.

Aboon~

Assalamualaykum..

On July 15th, she flew to Sydney for her Masters.
I was a bit disappointed because I didn't get to talk to her right before she boarded her plane.
But Alhamdulillah, knowing that she wasn't by herself [Asni+Asib managed to send her off], I felt a bit relieved.

Babe..you take care okay?
Thank God we had our little 'date' with Shambie on the 14th.
That day I was not feeling that sad, it was only for a year, I kept telling myself that.
But when we said our last goodbyes then it hit me hard.

I won't be able to talk to you anytime I want anymore..
We won't be able to exchange stories about our 'crushes' like we always do.
No more hanging out during weekends when you came home.
And most importantly, Eid this year won't be the same without you, Aboon.

Wassalam.

p/s: I'm happy for you for that 'ring'! ehemmmmmm~

Reminiscing~

Assalamualaykum.

It's official.
It's finally been decided.
(read here.)
The place where I grew up and met friends who I can call family will finally be relocated to another location.
When I read that in Asni's blog yesterday, I felt as if I was being stabbed straight into my heart.
Some may think that I over-reacted given the fact that I somehow already knew this was coming sooner or later, but when it's officially announced, I almost cried.

TKC is not only a school for me [and each of us TKCians], but it's also a place where we learn all about life, love and most importantly friendship.
As I always say, the five years spent in Bukit Merbah was the best years in my life and nothing can take away the fond memories [and also bitter ones] I had there.
The college spirit may always be with us no matter we go, but it's not the same.
I just can't imagine if we're having our 10th year gathering [for example] at another place, not in our old school compound.
The feeling must be totally different.

But who am I to say what to do and vice versa.
I'm just a plain TKC Old Girl with our college spirit that'll stay with me till the day I die.
I'll be damned if they make our old school compound as another school.
[Like what happened to SAS and SDAR..]
Huhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhu...
Then again., this is just another rambling from me..~

Wassalam.

Congratulations!

Assalamualaykum, people.

A shout out to my best friend Cik Asni who's now legally a Cik Puan.

CONGRATULATIONS, Asni+Abg Asib!

The akad nikah was held around 9pm @Cik Puan Asni's house on the 1st of June.
Both Asni and Abg Asib were surprisingly so calm that night .
And Alhamdulillah, with one lafaz, Cik Puan Asni became Mrs. Asib. =)
Some TKC and UIA friends who attended the akad nikah, shed happy tears upon seeing the couple finally joined together in a Holy matrimony.
I was one of them.

A funny (but so sweet) thing happened that night.
I shall not elaborate, let's leave you in a curiousity.
Hehehehehe..
[Cik Puan Asni, perhaps you can elaborate in your blog later? la la la..]

The next day, a kenduri took place.
Photography session was hectic, especially with us TKCians around. LOL
Thank God we didn't broke the pelamin. :D
But it was so wonderful seeing the couple.
Still shy, but so loving I thought I could almost see their love shining through their eyes that day.

Another amazing thing that day was the fact that my friends and I had a sort of little TKC9600 reunion among us.
Seeing faces that I haven't met since my last day in TKC.
And meeting a friend that I missed so dearly.
To Shambie, Aboon, Aliza, Adrin, Shaxu, Idya, Atie, Feiyah, Baini, Haida, Marr, Firah, Anis, Inamadz, Wan, Kiau and Jaja.. you guys ROCK!!

Now, how about some photos?

♥ ♥ ♥

Last day as Cik Asni.

The hantaran from Asni's side

Akad Nikah in process.

Sweetnya~

Merenung masa depan bahagia? Aminnn~

Asni and her shoulder to cry on.

Mr and Mrs Asib

♥ ♥ ♥

Asni's wedding left something special in my heart.
Maybe because I felt so involved in her journey to her new life as a wife.
From her engagement ceremony until the wedding, I was so glad to be a part of them.
And Cik Puan Asni, if you're reading this, thanks for the lovely experience+memories you gave me throughout the journey.
The happiness and sadness, laughters and cries and stories that we shared.
Those were the things that money can't buy and time can't erase.
FYI, these past few days had been so meaningful and wonderful to me.
I wish you well in your new life as Mrs. Asib.
Many happy years ahead.
Take care my friend, and good luck!

Dream.

Assalamualaykum~

At 2.31 a.m this morning, my brain suddenly woke me up.
You see, before I went to sleep last night [11p.m approx.] I did a mental reminder to wake up at 2.30 a.m and finish my work.
[Plus I had not ironed my baju kurung+tudung for school the next day {today}.]
Alhamdulillah, it worked.
No alarm clock or handphone.
I woke up, got my baju kurung+tudung ironed while watching Astro AEC.
Then, I made a cup of coffee and switched on my laptop.
I had to make the pamphlet/brochure/leaflet for today's Mesyuarat PIBG.
By 4.30 a.m I finished my work, but my eyes felt damn fresh..[the effect of Pe'rl cafe..]
So,.. alone, I watched "the Nanny" for one whole hour @ the Hallmark channel.
[then my imaginations went wild.. the thought of having a husband like Mr Sheffield seemed like a good idea at that time. LOL. Tall, handsome and richie rich!]

Alas, I was asleep again at 6a.m.
About 15 minutes after azan Subuh.
I was asleep for only 20 minutes but during that 20 minutes I had a dream.
I dreamed about my friends.
There were Shaxu, Jasara, Inamadz, Shambie, Aboon and a few others that I couldn't recall.
We were @ a restaurant, similar to MidValley's Chili's if I'm not mistaken.
And what were we doing there?
Besides getting the latest 'gossip' we were also...

WAITING FOR SOME PEOPLE FROM SOME RECORDING STUDIOS
TO RECORD OUR BATCH SONG..

WTH, kan?
[RollingOnTheFloorLaughing]

After a while, there were some who 'showed up' for us.
Among those who were there, I could remember vividly two people.

1. Joe Flizzow from TooPhat
2. MTV's Vj Colby

Seriously, I'm not quite sure the significance of both Joe and Colby to me.
I'm definitely not a hip-hop fan, and I personally prefer StarWorld&Discovery Channel rather than MTV.
[but I've to admit Vj Colby caught my eyes-lah.]

But for my own dissappointment, the dream ended quite abruptly.
I didn't get to see/hear us recording our 'oh-so-merdu' voices.
Hahahahahahaha..

From this dream, I came to a conclusion.

I MISS MY FRIENDS.
[Especially these girls..]

And Cik Asni, I think I'd miss you the most nanti. ;)

Wassalam~

tkc9600

Assalamualaykum.
I arrived @work safely today Alhamdulillah.
Yeah, while most of you are still in your comforter this morning, yours truly was already on the road.
Driving almost 2 hours non-stop.
*yawn*

Well, back to business.
This entry is meant to promote my batch's website. Or weblog.
Please have a peek at tkc nine six zero zero dot shambijoux dot com.
That is our current url.. [our own dot com is coming soon!]
And below is the screenshot of our weblog/website.
We are currently using WordPress' layout as Shambie the Administrator is super-busy.
She had come up with a splendid and customized layout design for our web but that has to wait-lah for a while.

There are only 2 posts there for the time being.
One of which I copied+pasted from my own blog..
Hehehehehehehe.
And the features are not all ready.
But InsyaAllah, they'll be updated one by one soon.

Wassalam and have a great weekend!

Wow!!!

Assalamualaykum..
These students really do us proud.
Reading this from the newspaper yesterday made me feel so small inside.
Teachers must've been so proud of them.
So do we, sisters!

Pelajar cipta ekstrak kadok cegah ulser

FAKTA
Pokok kadok

  • Nama saintifik piper sarmentosum.
  • Nama lain, sirih duduk.
Daun mujarab merawat demam malaria.

    Assalamualaykum..
Back to blogging again, after a weekend full of rest.
    Aaaaahhhhhh....

Last week I thought I read in Cik Asni's blog that she and Yani can't seem to remember their House Song. (Selindang Delima a.k.a Green House.)
Well, before I go on and boast around with my House Song(s), just a quick info for those who don't know about our school.

    Red House is Mahsuri.
    Blue House is Tun Fatimah.
    Yellow House is Siti Zawiah.
And Green House is Selindang Delima.

    MY PRIDE.

    image digitized by ShambieTKC9600

    Assalamualaykum..

Alhamdulillah today I finally managed to check my Friendster account.
Usually it's blocked by KPM's Websense.
Maybe today's my lucky day kot.
    =)

I don't know why but each time I browse through my Friendster, college spirit 'membuak-buak'.. Hehehehe..
I begin to reminisce the good and bad times I had since I stepped my feet on Bukit Merbah.
It's the place I grew up.
Met friends that are really close and so special in my heart.
    They are all irreplaceable.

Please Allah, may our friendship last for eternity.
To all TKCians, and TKC9600 especially, this is for you:
(I wish we have this in mp3 version.. huhuhu..)

    Kolej Tunku Kurshiah
    Kolej ulung di negara Malaysia
